What was the highlight of Pousada do Boqueirão

It exceeded my expectations. Location, food, ambiance.

This poussada is fabulous. The location is perfect in San Antonio, close to Cafélier and other awesome venues, walking distance to Pelourinho. The building itself is stunning, superb decoration. The food is amazing, we had breakfast and lunch there, mostly home cooked. Their is a nice family vibe.

All was perfect at Pousada do Boiqueraio, but i think what i...

All was perfect at Pousada do Boiqueraio, but i think what i enjoyed the most is the lively atmosphere in the area where it is located and the breakfast at the terrace with its beautiful garden and stunning view... and also the little monkeys that come and visit you at breakfast time.

Considering at a whole just good.

The location.Pousada do Boqueirao is near the center of Pelourinho, you can walk 10 min. and get there.And a plus is the attention provided by the ladies in the breakfast, their kindness is amazing.The cookers are very kind either. They can save your morning!

Breakfast is not excellent.Is just good.But the main issue is the WIFI signal at Pousada do Boqueirao: really bad and annoying specially in the inner rooms. I saw a lot of complains about that at Booking and is a fact. You can not trust in the WIFI signal.Take care with that if you really need to access internet to confirm tickets, check e-mails, verify you fly schedule and things like that.

Wonderful stay! Amazing breakfast and view on the sea

Absolutely charming, this a a very special hostel! The breakfast is amazing full of local food, eggs, pancakes, and the staff very helpful and very nice. I really recommend this place.

Nice hotel but was was very basic compared to other hotel in different country

The location was good the staff was very helpful would go there again but only for a couple of days

There was no television in the room and no mini fridge like In most hotel and seem £35 per night was a lot of money for the Accommodation, apart from this I found the hotel to be ok and the Staff to be nice

Sorrounded by art, warmth and beauty.

It is my third time coming back to Pousada do Boquerão, absolutely my favourite place in Salvador! The design, the view, the people and the best breakfast ever. It is truly a gem.

Amazing stay!

The building is absolutely beautiful, it feels like going back in time. The hotel is really well located, on a safe street, minutes from restaurants, bars and sightseeing locations. You have a wonderful sunset from the balcony, and during the morning, you can see little monkeys pop by for food. The breakfast was great, with a lot of options like homemade cakes and sweets, etc. - even having options for us being vegan. Owners and staff also super nice and friendly. Overall, we absolutely loved the stay - great value for money!

It is an historical building and so you can hear everything happening in any of ther rooms and common areas - specially the room we stayed at with communicating doors. Maybe you could warn guests (although it should be common sense) to be more respectful and avoid loud noises in the early morning and evening.

Overall it was a beautiful and amazing experience-the staff was helpful and attentative.

The breakfast spread was varied, fresh and delicious- a mix of traditional and local items that were very tasty.

In the bathroom the back-up drain would be smelly in the morning.

Best breakfast in Brazil

Breakfast was truly outstanding. Even if you do not stay here, you must visit for breakfast: it was genuinely better than in most five star hotels and included an incredible array of fresh pastries made in house each day. The outside seating area (where you have breakfast) has amazing views of the sea and is a lovely place to chill out. Location-wise, it is a very short walk from the really central tourist area but feels safe. We had a non-sea view room, which was a bit of a shame but you get what you pay for. The room was very very spacious and comfy (albeit very hot without AC).

- The shared bathroom was incredibly hot and didn’t have any windows. - The staff were very helpful when we asked for info but there wasn’t a great deal of info on offer otherwise - No free purified water
